The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract to provide Morehead City Inner Harbor Maintenance Dredging, Morehead City, Carteret County, North Carolina. The work includes maintenance dredging of the Morehead City Harbor federal navigation channel reaches including Range C, East Leg, West Leg, Northwest Leg, and the North Carolina State Ports Authority berth areas. The work will consist of removal and disposal of shoaled material that has accumulated in the channels and berth areas since the various areas were last dredged. The work will require a hydraulic cutter suction dredge. Dredging depths range from 12′ plus 2′ of allowable overdepth to 45′ plus 2′ of allowable overdepth. The estimated quantity of material to be dredged is 600,000 cubic yards. The Government furnished disposal area is the Brandt Island upland diked disposal area. The environmental window for dredging is 1 August through 31 March.
This solicitation is a 100% Small Business set-aside. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The Magnitude of Construction of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.00. Network analysis will not be required. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about April 29, 2015.
